Akai Professional and Ableton Live have teamed up together and are getting ready to release the APC40 (Ableton Performance Controller), which is a dedicated controller for Ableton Live built by the team that has built the quintessential beatmakin’ machine MPC. This is pretty huge as one of the things I have difficulty with is munipulating all the controls on the software, well now this hardware makes things easier for some of us old school cats that prefer to turn, twist and feel knobs.
